Inner Ear says goodbye to another hot summer and welcomes the first autumn drops together with a girl who loves the rain. Marietta Fafouti was 15 when she met the piano for the first time and thus began a relationship of love and creation that will last forever. Having nature and love as her main sources of inspiration, the girl slowly grew up into a woman and composed music for films, documentaries, TV productions, advertisements, plays, musicals and more. “Try A Little Romance” is her debut album and includes 11 tracks written, arranged and performed by her and produced by Ottomo.
While her music initially seems to flow from a carefree flirting with the musicals of the 60’s and the 70’s, it then dives into a contemporary pop romanticism and results to a rare blend of cinematic bliss and pop nonchalance. Ethereal vocals, tender lyrics, colorful imagery and dramatic love stories that end up in magic glades, everything comes alive through tripping melodies, sometimes happy, other times melancholic and in harmony with a performance full of freshness, nerve and theatricality they compose the songs of Marrietta that provoke euphoric smiles but also emotion.
“Try A Little Romance” is not an album made of stardust but a small reminder that the «happy end» we have deleted from our boring daily routine can easily be restored with a generous dose of optimism and a little romance. “I love the sun, the rain, the sky/It’s true we are together as one/A true romance with all the world/My heart is full I’m not alone”
