Illegal Operation is a special music gang with one foot in the swamps of Mississippi and the other in the swamps of the Athenian night. For over a decade they enjoy traveling around the outer musical universe and returning to share their adventures, juggling with a unique ability among blues, rock and experimentation.
The new station in their mad course, entitled “3rd Day”, includes echoes from their previous works, but traces new roads∙ loves the blues, but also the outbreaks of rock’n'roll∙ the mild confessions of folk but also the erotic funk groove∙ the dim lit city streets and also the open areas of the heart∙ the lyrics that imply more than they say, but say much more than they imply∙ the hard won wisdom that only this music can reflect in such a way: the music of Johnny Cash and Johnny Rivers, of Nick Cave and Woody Guthrie, played with passion in the first decade of the 21st century.
The “3rd Day” is produced by Illegal Operation and is released by Inner Ear in double vinyl including cd.
